About
Josh

Josh Boyd is an actor working across film, television, stage and voiceover. He's at home in comedy, but some of his favorite work lives on the darker side: the quiet menace of a villain, or a man cornered in the dark.

He brings a big, approachable presence to camera and a voice that moves easily from friendly commercial reads to fully built characters. He keeps a home studio for fast-turnaround self-tapes and VO sessions.

Josh also brings 20 years in professional wrestling, performing as Jimmy Jack Funk Jr. He worked with EWA and is best known for his run with Raleigh's GOUGE (Gimmicks Only Underground Grappling Extravaganza), where he is a two-time NC Champion and a two-time GOUGE Heavyweight Champion.

Two decades of playing to live crowds taught him big characters, physical storytelling and how to sell a moment to the back row. He also knows how to take a hit safely and make it look real.
